Basura Bash is the largest single-day waterway clean-up in Texas and the only event that collects recyclable waste products. This event has grown tremendously over the years in number of volunteers and waterways cleaned.
Volunteers will meet and sign-in at the parking lot on the west side of Devine near the restrooms. Parking is available near the restrooms on the Westside of Devine in front of the bridge/crosswalk. Parking is limited so come early. Parking may not be available along Devine if there is a soccer game scheduled the same day.
Due to safety concerns, no unattended children or teenagers will be allowed at this location without a parent. Please refrain from wearing shorts or open-toed shoes and long sleeve shirts are recommended. A safety briefing will be held before the start of the cleanup. Tributary leaders will provide gloves, bug spray, sun block, hand sanitizer and latex/nitrile gloves as well.
