Hosted by the WEAT Electrical, Instrumentation, & Controls Committee and presented by Glenn McGinley, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation

Wastewater professionals often overlook NFPA 820. However, it’s one of the most important standards for safeguarding treatment and collection facilities.

In this webinar, we’ll explore NFPA 820 requirements and how they impact the design and operation of these facilities.

This webinar will:

· Explain the scope and application of NFPA 820

· Explain the concepts of “classified locations” in NFPA 820 and NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 500

· Review NFPA 820 definitions and tables including specific examples of classified locations

· Describe NFPA 820 ventilation requirements

· Discuss hazards associated with wastewater treatment and collection facilities

By the end of the webinar, attendees will have a better understanding of the requirements of NFPA 820 and how to apply them to their wastewater treatment and collection projects. Join us to learn how to ensure the safety and protection of these critical facilities.
