Presentation Overview: The presentation will provide an overview of the proposed Federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions. The presentation will discuss the core areas of the rule revision. The core areas include identifying the areas most impacted by lead service lines, strengthening drinking water treatment requirements, replacing lead service lines, increasing sampling reliability, improving risk communication, and protecting children in schools and child care facilities. The presentation will also discuss the health advisories and other EPA actions related to addressing PFOA and PFOS. The presentation will also include a review of the Texas Section AWWA activities, initiatives, and resources for supporting water utilities.
