- Overview of why nutrient removal from wastewater is important
- What are the nutrients of concern?
- Nitrogen removal and the nitrogen cycle
- Biological phosphorus removal process
- Explanation of the different treatment processes available for BNR
- Optimizing performance and troubleshooting within the Anaerobic-Anoxic-Oxic (A2O) process and operational key parameters
- Calculations for nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiencies such as hydraulic retention times, SRT, BOD/P ratios within influent, and internal nitrogen recycle flow rates.
